From The Director…

In a recent article in the Detroit Free Press it was written that by the end of last school year, it was estimated that as many as 300,000 educators would receive pink slips across the country. The consequences will be larger class sizes, less individualized instruction, school safety, and elimination of art, music, and physical education classes. At Franklin Academy, we pride ourselves on being able to have small class sizes, which results in more individualized instruction, as well as securing a safe environment for the children. Having access to the athletic club also gives us the opportunity to have the physical education classes that young children need to develop their bodies.

The school year is fast approaching, and if you have not decided to decide on a school for your child I would like to tell you why you might want to send your child to the Academy. Children need a strong, educational foundation in their early, formative years of life. That is why it is so crucial that your child be given every opportunity to be exposed to a quality education. All lead teachers are elementary certified, and have taught at Echo Park Learning Center, which was one of Oakland County’s premier early childhood centers for over 45 years. Not only will your child receive a strong educational foundation, but your child will become a part of the Academy family. We will nurture your child and help to build their self esteem so that they leave us with a strong sense of knowing who they are, and what they are capable of doing. A parent once said to me “there is no other school that has accepted my child for who he is and where he is at in terms of his social and emotional development. Other private schools just want perfect children, whatever that is.  I see how much patience and love you have for all the children”. 

When figured out on an hourly and daily basis our rates are quite reasonable, given all the added enrichment classes that we have to offer. Swimming, tennis, yoga, sports, dance, music, computers, language, library, and art are all included if your child remains at school for a full day. If they come only in the morning, drama and music is included.

3-1/2 days @$43.71 per day (105 days)
2-1/2 days @$45.83 (72 days)
